Rehoming & Placement Resources
While we work toward expanding into a dedicated physical facility, we are unable to accept surrenders or coordinate individual adoptions. If you need to rehome your reptile, please explore the local resources and safe rehoming guidelines below:
1. Local Reptile Specialty Stores (Immediate Surrenders)
Several local reptile specialty shops in the Las Vegas Valley frequently accept owner surrenders, particularly when the animal comes with its complete enclosure and setup. Contact them directly for current intake availability:

-

2. Safe Self-Rehoming Guide
If you choose to find a private adopter on your own, use these best practices to ensure your reptile goes to a responsible, prepared home:
-
Charge a Rehoming Fee: Never list an animal for free. A reasonable rehoming fee deters animal flippers, impulse owners, and improper care.
-
Require Enclosure & Husbandry Proof: Ask prospective adopters for photos of their enclosure, heating elements, thermostat controllers, and lighting before agreeing to a transfer.
-
Screen Basic Knowledge: Confirm the adopter understands the specific temperature, humidity, and dietary needs of the species.
-
Safe Public Handoffs: Arrange meetups in well-lit public parking lots (such as local police station safe-exchange zones or outside busy commercial centers).
3. Emergency Surrenders and Municipal Shelters
If you are facing an urgent crisis (such as immediate eviction or abandonment) and cannot rehome the animal privately, contact the local municipal shelter:
